Diet Support Group? I don’t think so…

Yesterday my sister suggested I join a diet support group, which is a bit like Weight Watchers only more sad and pathetic!! Basically it’s a group of people who are on long term diets who meet up once a month and compare notes on their diets; what’s working, what’s not, that kind of thing. There’s no 12 steps like in A.A., just some support  from the group members. Every once and a while a nutritionist comes in and gives some tips about how the eat healthy. I think I pissed my sister off when I told her that there was NO WAY I was joining this weird group of fatties. I mean, if I wanted to be in a weight loss support group, I’d join Weight Watchers or Curves. Or I’d run one of those personal people search things to find fellow fatties in my area. And I’m not doing that…yet. Maybe in the future I will, if it’s helpful, which I doubt it will be.

As it stands, I’ve been doing really well on my diet and am on my way to reversing the side effects of that unfortunate binge a few weeks back. Why does it it take so much effort to lose weight, yet so little to pack it on? That is one of God’s cruel jokes I think. In a fair world, putting on weight would be difficult and losing it would be a snap. Then we’d all be skinny minnies and happy to be. But then all my hard work wouldn’t make a difference and I’m glad it does. It’s kind of gratifying to know that if I keep working hard and watching what I eat, I’ll be the best lookin’ gal on the block in the long run.

Anyway, ever since my sister left I’ve been wondering if there is anybody else in my neighborhood who shares my quest for health and fitness. We might be able to help each other out with recipes, etc. It might be easiest to do a person lookup to find them but I really don’t want to start a support group or anything. Or if I do, it’s a 2-person support group which is way better than a huge one - at least for me. We’ll see how it goes I guess. As long as I don’t start munching on chocolate chip cookies, I’ll be okay. Mmmm, cookies.

Off Da Wagon

I have a confession kids and it’s so shameful just pretend I am hiding my face behind my hair right now. I went off the wagon. Yep, I fell right off and into a peach cobbler. Which was delicious and would’ve been fine if I’d stopped there. Sadly I just kept going. Ice cream sundaes, cherry pie, french toast with butter and syrup, burgers, fries…you name it, I ate it. Not all at once, of course, but I managed to eat my way to 5 more pounds in the space of 2 weeks. Wow! There should be an award for that. But I’m back on the paleo-diet now. Bananas never sounded so good.

I think maybe this dieting thing would go better for me if I could find someone to share the load - you know, someone to slap me in the face every time I go on an eating binge! That would’ve been good two weeks ago. My man has been kind and not said anything about my weight gain, but I’m totally feeling it. And I was doing so well! I guess it’s like they say, the worst thing is to give yourself permission to eat everything in sight. Once I find people to help me out, I don’t think I’ll be hitting the ice cream sundae store quite as much.

So guess what my man was going off about yesterday? About finding old military buddies! Apparently it’s easy and people do it all the time. Shit, I didn’t even know he WAS in the military. Isn’t that nuts? Maybe if I’d done a little sleuthing I wouldn’t be so surprised by this sudden revelation. But it’s okay. It doesn’t matter to me at all, I just hope he still has his uniform in the closet somewhere. Mmmm, uniform.

New Diet Hell!

I can’t take dieting anymore! I wish I could just exersize and eat anything I wanted without consequences. I don’t mind. I just got sick of eating bananas all day, you know? Not that bananas aren’t good or anything but a girl needs a little variety in her diet. I am not a monkey. Luckily I have discovered this website Consumer Advocate and they reccomend taking phetremine ae for weight loss. It sounds good and Mrs. X seems to love it, but I am skeptical of something so easy. Or maybe I just like to sweat! That must be it, you can ask my man about it and he’ll tell it like it is (yes, still with him, thank you person search!).

Oh hey, if you love people search, finding people, or anything like that check out Find People with Lindsey at Kodak Courage. Great blog!

My Man Finds Me Sexy

This new paleolithic diet is bananas! Consequently, I’m eating tons of bananas and other fruits and vegetables now, which I wasn’t doing before on the..er..fatass diet I was previously following. And although I do kinda miss the fatassness of the diet, I don’t miss the fatass on my ass. Wait, the fatass that was my ass. Luckily, though, I still got meat where it counts, and my man is definitely happy with that. If he wanted me to go back to She-Beckham, I probably would have questioned his sexuality, ya know? So anyway, I’m losing weight but retaining weight where I need to thanks to this great new diet. I suggest anyone else try it. In other news, I’ve just been doing the usual: people searches, trying to become a great people finder, finding old friends…stuff like that. I also have been taking this stuff called Damage Control that has been helping me along with my diet.

Found a Diet that Works

Well, I was getting a little too chubby for my tastes. My man says he still finds me sexy, but I wanna make him drool when he sees me in a thong. Know what I mean? Yeahhhh. Anyway, I picked up this new diet called the caveman diet. Basically, I eat mainly meat, veggies, fruits, and nuts. Anything that can be eaten raw can be eaten on this diet. So, no grains, peanuts, beans, etc. It’s workin though…I’m getting checked out everywhere I go. Especially by my man, you know! Okay, he’s coming home soon so I gotta get ready, but first I got some great links for you to people search with. Use this one if you wanna find a person from your past or just search people randomly. This is a great engine to search people with, so go crazy. Oh and I’ve been laughing all day at this hilarious Rant Farm - To the Woman Who Insists On Putting Clothes On Her Dog.

Tummy Found Food

Well, I let up a bit on my abs. I know, I know, I’m disappointed too. Probably more than you, cause I gotta live with these flabby abbies. My new boyfriend (guy from last time I mentioned) strangely enough likes a bit of chub on me. He likes my jelly, I guess. So I’m not all THAT disappointed just cause it means I get to make my man happy. And I’m all about making people happy. Have you been able to find person that makes YOU happy? Do it! But how, you ask? People searches, that’s how. Or, ya know, if you already have that special someone, you can at least learn about finding old high school friends.

Searching for great abs? Look no further

Christmas has long passed, and let me tell you, my abs were the true stars of the holidays. Forget Janet Jackson, I was looking like David Beckham with his shirt off, except with breasts. I’ve been totally dominating my yoga classes and the teacher has been commending me for my strong core. That cute guy I told you about? I got my toenails did and asked him out. Of course he said yes. Who’s stoked? Me, that’s who. Okay, I realize you guys aren’t probably here to hear about my life, so here are some people search links. This will help you find people you’ve been wondering about. Oh yeah! ALmost for got. How about those crazy Facebook applications, the ones you’re always getting invites for. Well, here’s a tidy hilarious list of the strangest facebook applications. Til next time!

If you ain’t got not people search, take your lonely ass home.

G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S. I have had that song on high rotation in my workout playlist, and I can’t get it out of my head! At least it’s a good song (and not something like ‘It’s a Small World’ - yikes). So… what’s new? Well, I have found a couple new cool sites I am proud to recommend to you about people search engines and people search in general. I can also recommend (very highly) this article from PeopleSearchDigest.com on Kango Travel Search. I was trying to help plan our family’s yearly Christmas trip to Hawaii, and I found all kinds of things on Kanga that I know I wouldn’t have found on Orbitz or Travelocity (I looked, I know). Speaking of which, my abs are still on track to make their debut this Christmas! I am going bikini shopping next weekend with my mom and sister (after Thanksgiving). I can’t wait!

Leaner, Meaner Me and People Search

I’m not going to lie. I’m pretty awesome these days… and by awesome, I mean I’m in better shape than I think I’ve ever been. I made a pact with myself that this year would be the year that I didn’t gain five pounds eating all the candy corn and pecan pie the holiday season mandates. Thus… I had to start working out. So, I joined this gym that’s a few blocks from my place, and I’ve been going every other day to a yoga class (hard), spinning class (harder) or just work out by myself with the weight machines and the elliptical trainers (harder than yoga, but easier than spinning), and it’s like the little excess weight I had before is just disappearing. At this rate, I’m going to have abs like Janet Jackson circa 1996 by Christmas. Anyway, I’m stoked and I thought I’d share. Another thing I’m stoked about is the sweet sites I’ve found to share with you all this month about how to find person, search people, and how to keep children safe online. You should really all check them out. I’m not even a big reader, but I just can’t get enough of this stuff. OK. That’s all for now. I’m off to get my nails done. There is this really really really really ridiculously cute guy in my yoga class, and I can’t be having gross toenails in his face should he practice next to me.
